Despite its high potential, Nigeria and Africa are still haunted by old ghosts of war, corruption, patronage, poverty, oppression, lack of authentic innovation, slave mentality, paternalism, colonial impact, lack of unity, to mention a few.

The problem is highly attributable to the inability of Africa to liberate its voice and tell its own stories of the past, the present, and the future. This long-thirsted change is at my heart as the convener of ‘Get inspired’; a Pan Africa Youth Connect Forum.

The Get Inspired- Youth Connect Summit, an initiative with the primary objective of creating an informed and empowered generation of economically savvy, financially astute and socially aware future leaders.

This event is absolute free-to-attend conferences aim at furnishing 1,000,000 (1 Million) Youths with money making skills and Life lessons by the year 2025 that will significantly impact communities in Africa. We aim to meet the United Nations SDGs of Poverty Alleviation and Promoting Inclusive and Sustainable Economic growth, Employment and Decent work for all.

The project would aid youths and students of tertiary institutions across Africa in gaining digital know-how which would enhance their employability and fast-track their entrepreneurial endeavours.

The Get Inspired- Youth Connect Summit hosts Founders and young CEOs who are trailblazers in Nigeria and Africa as speakers. The events also feature sought-after artists and celebrities to make learning fun-filled and stimulating. Individuals would have the opportunity to attend the events free of charge in different Geo-Political Zones in Nigeria and Africa Countries; as at today are over 100,000 beneficiaries with testimonies abound.

The total number of youths empowered so far from inception of this initiate via campuses in Nigeria are Twelve thousand, eight hundred and ninety-eight (12,898) youths and still counting. 

These events are powered by Samson Olatunde Foundation, a Non-Governmental organization committed to building heroes one step at a time. We’ve taken it upon ourselves to carry the message of and to tertiary institutions across the length and breadth of Nigeria. We started from the South West, with the University of Lagos, the Obafemi Awolowo University the Tai Solarin University of Education; and we’ve moved on to the South East with the Get Inspired Summit at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and to the North East, North West, South-South etc helping young people to understand how to turn their passion to profit.

To ignite the passion for cutting-edge Digital Entrepreneurship and outstanding Career life in the Africa Youths.

THE OBJECTIVES

  • To engage and empower youth on life, leadership and money-making skills which will enable them to play a positive role in the society.
  • To educate participants on how to start, scale, sustain and build a system around an idea, passion, career or business; and monetize leverage on new digital solutions.
  • To equip and connect participants with seasoned mentors who can offer helpful advice, expertise, and direction customized to their needs.
